What is Cold Porcelain?
Cold
Porcelain is the common name attributed to art made from unfired porcelain
compounds. Unfired porcelain is not fired in a kiln like traditional porcelain
products, it is designed to be formed into the desired shape and then air dried,
hence the name "cold" porcelain is derived from this characteristic. The
qualities inherent in unfired porcelain compound allow artisans to create all

exhibition was held in the spacious Knavesmire Stand at York Racecourse and
successfully built on previous Cold Porcelain, Sugar & Craft Shows,
with some outstanding display and competition entries and increased attendance!
